SL Crashes Upon Start

Not sure how to read the crash logs or the CLI output as to what is causing the crash. Don't know what I'm looking for.

I'm running ArchLinux. AMD Phenom 9500+. 3GB RAM. 8800GT 512 Video. 2.6.28 kernel.

Man, this is a drag. I can't use the Linux client at all now. Maybe I'll post in the Jira.

If it's an xulrunner problem; I'm using xulrunner-1.9.0.6-1. Could this be a conflict with what LL is using?

Those createDummyWidgets aren't a big deal. I get those warnings all the time.

Are you running 64-bit? That might help narrow it down a bit.

I'm having this same issue too. Just tried today after installing about a week's worth of updates on my Arch box, and got similiar errors. Game opens title but then crashes, with no possibility for login.

32-bit + Xul-runner 1.9.0.6-1, same version as Steely.

Nope, 32bit. I can't find anything in the logs that pops out as an obvious problem.

Is secondlifes mozilla usually starting the IcedTeaPlugin ?

Hmmm, I did notice that the last update installed OpenJDK. I wonder if I should remove it and install Sun's Java packages instead.

I can't remove OpenJDK because Soprano depends on it and Amarok as well as some KDE 4.2 functions depend on Soprano. Hopefully that is not the cause.

It always tries to load whatever mozilla plugins you have. I have it set to use an external browser, but it still tries anyway. I get errors on my 64-bit plugins, but it doesn't cause me trouble as long as it opens everything externally. I don't have OpenJDK, so I don't know what that could affect.

I think I'll post in Arch Forums. Maybe some archers will have run into similar problems.

It was inded OpenJDK that broke SL.

For Arch users:

That's odd... I use Arch, and have not noticed any problems lately. But my last update was maybe 2 weeks ago, so I should probably watch for that when I run my next update pass. Thanks for posting this!
