I dont know jack about Linux. My power supply went out ony wonderful PC and I am left using someone else's PC which has Linux. I am going into SL withdrawal and decided to try and put SL on this PC.
Like I said, I dont know ANYTHING about Linux except that it is not Windows. I dont know the version of Linux I am running either except that I keep seeing knoppix.
So, I downloaded it, extracted it, and now it is sitting on my desktop waiting for me to do something with it. WHAT DO I DO? :)) How do I get SL up and running? I just see folders and weird files.
Please please please help me (yes...I am begging!) :)

TIA,
Kate

Open that folder you created, look for a file called "secondlife", and double-click it. You will probably be asked if you want to display it or run it. Select to run it, and wait for the magic.
