32bit configuration

i get an error that won't let me install secondlife becaue it is not in 32bit color mode. I don't know how to get it into 32 bit mode. I typed in 32 bit into the search function and got a lot of junk that wasn't helpful so i decided to post. I am using mandriva 2006 with an AMD 3800+ cpu

Well I could be wrong but i think the trouble you are having is that your using the unaccelerated ati driver. if you have the fglrx drivers installed you might want to try something like changing the driver line from:

driver "ati"

to

driver "fglrx"

have you installed the propriatory 3D accelerated driver from ATI?
