Tried the RC.. everything seems okay. but no audio. No UI sound & no stream.

Audio works for me in 1.8.3(2) just like it did in 1.8.1(2).
FYI: Fedora7 x86_64, using ESD with KDE. I found that ESD is the best sound system to work simultaneoslly SL with KDE and other multimedia sounds. |

Did you pass "OPENSOURCE=no" to scons? Else FMOD wouldnt be integrated, which results in no sound.

Oops.
between running SecondLife_i686_1_18_1_2 & changing to SecondLife_i686_1_18_3_2_RELEASECANDIDATE my esd decided to misbehave. That is sorted out. OSS and Alsa gives me stuttering sound in 1_18_1_2 and no sound in the RELEASECANDIDATE.. I'm not much worried about these since esd seems adequate. Sorry for the cry wolf bit. The RC seems to perform okay so far. I am using it now as my default client. |
