Earlier this evening I had installed Fedora Core 6 with some glee and of course the first thing I want to do and try out on the new OS I had installed was run good 'ol Second Life and give it a whirl just to see if there are any differences and if I'll have to keep my Windows XP installtion, since Second Life is pretty much the only thing keeping me attached to it, anyways now down to the problem...
The Second Life prepartion was fine, make it an executable after unpacking, great installed libGLU and the ATI drivers for the proper card... done and done. Now after I do the usual ./secondlife command which gets this game up and running for so many others I have a nice little crash log when it tries to start GTK. Now I'm a total Linux newbie and I'm guessing from this that I'll need to play around with GTK somewhat to get SL working but I have no idea how to do that... might this newbie beg for a tidbit of help?
