I've seen a few posts on here about 64bit support.
Those of you who are interested. Don't forget to watch and vote for it in the official jira ticket.

Voted too, this could be interesting, as it will give the actual numbers who need the 64 bit viewer. Well, as long as people vote !!, :D.

This doesn't need to be limited to linux. With Windows7 on the way, I see a great boom coming for 64bit systems. Once people see the maturity of the OS, the greater available RAM footprint, and the overall performance gains... It will be unavoidable. (^_^)

I'm voting for the Jira with the caveat that it's not limited to one OS. (^_^)

64bit systems are no longer the early adopters' toys. (^_^)y

Added my vote, because I *do* have Windows boxes here that I use...

...sometimes...

...when I absolutely have to...

A third party 64bit linux viewer with gstreamer working can be found here:
http://imprudenceviewer.org/2010/01/04/imprudence-1-3-merge-test-build/
It's a test build for figuring out what to work on, so it might crash or not even start at all.
