This doesn't need to be limited to linux. With Windows7 on the way, I see a great boom coming for 64bit systems. Once people see the maturity of the OS, the greater available RAM footprint, and the overall performance gains... It will be unavoidable. (^_^)
I'm voting for the Jira with the caveat that it's not limited to one OS. (^_^) 64bit systems are no longer the early adopters' toys. (^_^)y _____________________

A third party 64bit linux viewer with gstreamer working can be found here:
