new pc no sl

i did a comple upgrade motherboard asus p5nt deluxe 2 gig ddr 3 ram pci ex geforce 9600 evga video card 512 ram but sl wont run it gives me the error unable to create window anyone know what this is all about?

You might find you get a better response if you use punctuation. It makes it more likely for people to read what you have to say. Those folks might be the ones that could have answered your question.

What flavor of Linux?

Do you have the proper drivers for your card?

Are you using Wine?

Where is that error message coming from?

Was that the complete text of the error?

Was that the complete text of the error? error creating window and in the terminal i see this txt " WARNING: createContext: window creation failure. SDL: Couldn't find matching GLX visual"

Your problem is with the video driver. It is not properly installed.

Please refer to your distribution's instructions on installing it correctly.

Also, punctuation really does help.

Turn on the restricted driver for your video.

I unfortunately started another tread before I found this one... see it for more details about what happened to me and my solution. It's very likely that it would solve Sudley's problem as well.
