Is it possible to capture movie to disk?

Hey guys, i'm trying to make some machinima( SL movies ) with my Ubuntu 8.04 but i cant do it with the client... Is there a way to solve it?

I also try Xvid & Istanbul soft to capture my screen but it dont works fine.
What Software do you use ?

About the best there is currentlyhttp://xvidcap.sourceforge.net/ but it takes a pretty fast machine to do it while running SL. Dual core suggested. :3
