Hi, been running the alpha client and updating quite regular, and its looking really good, noticed this as a issue, but not sure if its a bug or known feature of sl or what so posting here.
When I get dropped packets between my linux box and the router (its wifi connected due to circumstance), the last thing I typed in chat or im is repeated for however many times the packet is dropped. Ive had people asking me to turn off the echo scripts etc while I got it worked out. Someone told me it was a wifi issue in live help and was a known thing...

Ive fixed it now by the dint of moving my pc so the wifi has a better link, but, it strikes me that if these packets were dropped, shouldnt there have been no ack to the syn for them, and if so how did they manage to get out anyway? Or is the packet loss in the linden subsystem not the tcp onem and it doesnt do its own equivalent of syn ack handshaking?

Im not panic'd about knowing this, just curious to get my head round the innards a bit better..
