1_20_2_85278 always crashes

suse 10.3 x86-64
Nvidia 8800GT
Nvidia driver 171.06

Since 1.20.1, I can' stay inworld more than a few seconds.

In fact, the first time I used it, I could stay a good amount of time. Since then every attempt crashed.
I erased my .secondlife, reinstalled clean.
I tried many graphics settings,both in SL and Nvidia X Server Settings.The SL 'low' preset allows me to stay a *bit* longer, but finishes by a crash too.

The problem is that the console doesn't tell me more than 'you are using a x86-64 architecture...' , but I don't think the problem comes from here, it works real good with 1.19.

So, well I'm a bit afraid of the day the RC comes to production, as I work with linux only here.

I'm sorry for the lack of details, but I don't find more on the console. Is there a verbose option ?

for RC 1.20.1, this behaviour is normal
RC 1.20.2 was released to fix this problem, but as stated in my own thread, it does not quite do it for me, either. According to some reports, 1.20.2 is also a bit iffy under winXP, although this has not been verified by myself.

I'm using the latest current 1_19_1_4 for now, I hope it does not get replaced by the RCs in their current state.
