Sadly there's no info to work on there (anything in ~/.secondlife/Secondlife.log ?), but out of interest what does 'uname -m' print?

Hi, I have the same setup as J3bber and am getting this error as well. I've tried the latest SL stable 1.19.0.5 and 1.19.1.4 Beta with proprietary nvidia drivers 169.12. nvidia drivers seem to be working fine with X.org. Will try the latest nvidia beta drivers 171.06 as well, but i doubt that will help. It's a default install of Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon 64bit with only sl clients and nvidia proprietary drivers applied. If I remember correctly, uname -m prints x86_64. I had replaced the use of arch with uname -m, but that only aids in printing a message. A backtrace in gdb pointed to somewhere in libGL if i remember correctly. Sorry i cant provide any more details atm. I just seen some instruction on removing the existing nvidia-glx prior to installing the proprietary drivers, which i did not do explicitly before. I'll try that as well. http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=72490 I suspect the nvidia installer could have done that. Thanks.

I fixed my problem. I believe the trick was to install the nvidia drivers _after_ installing the 32bit compatible libraries. Thanks.
