As of SL v1.18.3.5 stable, I'm getting the pre-HTML login screen(no Linden Blog links, no stats, nada). Am I the only one getting this, or is there something wrong that requires the old login screen?

Same here: the little SL hand icon appears for a second together with the 'Loading...' writing, then the old login screen appears.

Good question...

From: Leela Laval same here. is this a linux client only issue? I'll ask in the Mac and general technical forums. Update: I haven't actually asked, but from what I see on the other forums this problem is Linux-only. It's not a major problem, but I think we can all agree that the HTML login is quite handy.

Hi,
it´s the same effect here: If I have tried german, french and spanish, then I can see the correct login-screen. Only in english it shows the old screen.
Best regards Sönke

Best regards Sönke I guess this would be a good time to brush up on my Spanish then

Thanks for the report - this has been tracked-down and fixed internally!

Heh only just noticed this the other day when I flipped back to the official release rather than ones I'm compiling. Kind of a slightly major glaring snag to miss before releasing a new client Still I guess they had auto login turned on or something ...

From: Tofu Linden Thanks for the report - this has been tracked-down and fixed internally! Beg to differ. Even after clearing cache, the html-type screen does not appear. Adamas

From: Adamas Carter Beg to differ. Even after clearing cache, the html-type screen does not appear. Fixed internally means the Lindens have it working and come the next update it "should" be fixed. It is a boon and a curse not having the web login screen. It loads quicker, but you miss the new blog announcements and online numbers. Am not sure what it would do if the grid is down either.

From: Adamas Carter Sorry. Didn't know "fixed" had more than one meaning. LOL! Yeah ok see what you mean, but after a while in SL you get used to "fixed" meaning, it works for other people but probably not for you yet From: Adamas Carter I thought that since the html works with languages other than English, it wasn't a client problem. Yeah, but if you compile your own viewer at the moment the login screen appears in English no problem. So somehow (don't ask me?!), it is a client problem.
