Fullscreen Aspect Issues?

SL is handling fullscreen aspect incorrectly, at least for my monitor's native aspect 16:10. The rightclick menu is distorted into an oval. And everywhere I go the people are slightly pudgy. I believe it's defaulting to 4:3.

I tried to switch to 16:9, just to test, and it didn't seem to have an effect. So I tried to mess with settings.xml adding : <FullScreenAspectRatio value="1.6"/>... and it had no effect.

So... two questions:

For those of you with 16:9 ... are you suffering from a case of the pudgies too? Or is it just because I have an oddball monitor running at 16:10 (specifically 1440x900 or 1680x1050)

And just for curiosity's sake... how come SL can handle aspect ratio automatically and on-the-fly when it's windowed? No matter what crazy dimensions you change the window to?

Thanks all...

Ok. I'm not sure if it's the new version, or if I did something different... but this is now fixed-ish. In case anyone else is having the same problem, here's the solution.

If you're running on a 16:10 :

1. Make sure these are set
<FullScreenAspectRatio value="1.6"/>
<FullScreenAutoDetectAspectRatio value="FALSE"/>
and "FullScreenHeight + Width" to your preferred resolution.

2. Log in and go to fullscreen.

3. "8:5" will be set as your aspect. But for some reason I have to choose it again manually, and press apply for the setting to actually take. ::shrug:: So do that... =)

4. I just re-logged in... you will have to do step 3 each time you log in, apparently.

All your circles should be circles again. Woot!
