When I use 1.16.0.5 in Windowed mode, I can resize the window by using the edge handles and the graphics update and redisplay properly. However, if I have the window at a small size (say 600x800) and I maximize it with the window's maximize button, the display area goes black and no amount of resizing will get it back.

Still happens in 1.16.0.6

The loss of graphics still happens on multiple Linuxes.
If I drag resize the window, the display updates. If I use teh maximize button, the window goes solid black. However, If I do something that forces a major update - such as CTRL-SHIFT-H to return home, the display refreshes in some instances. MOre often than not, the only way out is by killing the process.

Yes, annoying. Even resizing (up) will often do the same recently. Something gets in a busy-loop internally and hangs the whole client indefinitely in the rendering. The multiple memory leaks don't help either -- client currently peaks at 1.5 to 1.7 GB in some of these hangs, which might be *why* it hangs.

My biggest complaint now is that after last week's grid-mess, the linux client is almost unsuable for me. Textures are hit-or-miss, prims come and go, land flickers in and out of existence. The flaky rendering really hits performance too, so it's almost impossible to *do* anything.
Yes, I've tried purging, reinstalling -- even going to another machine with a pristine client only to find the exact same problems after login.
