Everytime I try to teleport from my location its logging me out. I've tried multiple times to teleport, to multiple locations. Is this a known issue? Is there a fix for it? I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 (fresh install) and I have the latest nVidia drivers and a GeForce 7600 (I think, i know its 7xxx). Please let me know how to proceed.

Can you TP within region but not to another? If so it's not just you and it's not just Linux. A friend I just convinced to join is having the same problem from a mac and the usual fixes are doing nothing.

Why is there no patch, or attempted patch to this? I used to be able, now all of a sudden it refuses? 900kbps should EASILY cover bandwidth. why are we confined to 1 location?

Any advice on what to do about this while waiting for an upgrade - besides buying Windows - would be greatly appreciated. Downgrading to 1.19.x doesn't seem to have helped. (He'd taken my alt for a spin a few times on my machine, so he went straight to premium...feeling a TEENY bit guilty here that he can't actually use it.) |

The jira.secondlife.com link involves a lengthy thread which includes some workarounds - the most reliable workaround people are using is to configure DNS to avoid the router's DNS server (not incredibly easy, but rough instructions should be in that link).

I run 5 Windows machines and 3 SUSE Liniuxmachines an dexperience the same thing on all of them!
It seems to be a com problem so far, and is entirely random. I have exactly the same problem usinf a Libsl "bot" and the LL viewer. |
