Jello everyone *squeek*. I havent gotten around to it yet but I am wondering if any of you out there have had success running SL Linux Alpha on FreeBSD or other distros. I know they have binary compatibility with Linux so theoreticly, it should work.

Any success stories or info appreciated.

BSD is scary. Go away and leave us to our nice, simple Linux! :P

Seriously, though... I haven't tried, and I haven't seen any mention of it on the forums at all.

Just an update: The latest build still works. :) You do have to track down a couple of RPMs from the internet to grab a couple of libararies that aren't installed by default, but it's not too terribly difficult.

In fact, I'll make it easy for you, here's a tarball with the extra libraries you'll need. Just extract it in the secondlife directory and you'll be good to go.
