in/secondlife-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libexpat.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I got that error message while trying to start the latest version of SL. I'm a raw newb to Linux. Can someone spend a few minutes walking me through what I need to do now ? Thanks so much for your time. And Theora, thanks again for that miraculous cure you gave me earlier. Steve (running Mandriva Official 2006)

Does anyone have the most recent release of the client before this one ? At least that one worked.

Hi This error (and other similar to this) going when you dont have installed specified package in your system. Client search for this files in locations: - /usr/lib
- directory lib in root directory with game
To resolution first try: - Go to terminal and type command locate libexpat.so.1
if result not be simillar to this /usr/lib/libexpat.so.1
you must install this package by package manager in Mandriva (sorry i dont remember it name, i use Mandiriva long time ago ). Try search package called expat or libexpatAnd little offtopic: I think this be good idea write somewhere (on site or forum) prerequisites of libraries to run game. This may help a little
