Did anyone go to the town hall yesterday. I spent about an hour there. It was surreal. I've only ever used the linux alpha client and I used xine to hook up to the live stream. It was very interesting.

I couldn't get mplayer to play the stream, but xine did work fine. It was buffering quite a bit, but judging from the other people in the crowd speaking, I believe that was normal.

All in all, it makes me look forward to getting sound into the linux client.

I was there, using XMMS to play sound. Buffering was terrible with the client running.

From about the 10 minute mark to the last 20 minutes there was a buffering problem, which grew steadily worse as the broadcast went on. At the final 20 minutes though they moved a bunch of the users to a seperate stream and the buffering cleared up (for me at least).
