Avatars do not load when I use LInux SL, they show as grey 'areas'.

Here is a screenshot:

Graphics?

Hi Jsecure,

From your system info it looks like you're using Intel integrated graphics, meaning
you don't meet the minimum system requirements for a Windows install - I don't
know what the requirements are for Linux, but I expect they are similar to Windows
(i.e. a relatively recent Nvidia or ATI graphics card).

Avatar problem goes away like magic with the following fix:

Similar issue, disable Avatar Vertex Program resolved

I had similar issue...no avatar showing at all, other than VERY small clips of maybe something on head (I have no wacky attachments or anything, so this may have just been part of my hair or something).

disable Avatar Vertex Program, and I pop right in, though. Joy! Aside: to get tabs to change in Preferences, I had to right click on the tab. Left click did not work. (Took awhile to find that...I was busy grepping through the prefs files which I noticed!)

For future reference:

* Linux Distribution: Debian unstable
* Desktop Environment: Gnome 2.12.2
* Kernel info: Linux roark 2.6.15-1-k7 #1 Wed Jan 18 15:54:27 UTC 2006 i686 GNU/Linux

* X version version number: 11.0
vendor string: The X.Org Foundation
vendor release number: 60900000
X.Org version: 6.9.0

* Video driver R300 X.Org driver (NOT the ATI binary-only driver)
* Video card model & amount of video memory: ATI Radeon 9600 AP (AGP), 128M
* CPU info: AuthenticAMD, AMD Athlon(tm), 1262.996MHz, 256 KB cache
* Amount of physical and virtual memory: Mem:516668k total, Swap: 497964k total

Looking pretty dang good for an alpha (now that I can see myself!); some shading issues, and font problems, but already semi-usable, and I'm not using binary drivers! This is awesome, guys; great job.
