Hi,
Is anyone having any success with 1.20.0.84432? I have tried using it, and have to say it seems unstable. Each time I use it I can log in successfully, and wander for maybe a minute or two, then poof. Crash! If I try logging in again, same thing. When I run the stable version, no problems.
I am using it on Ubuntu 7.10. Any others seeing similar problems, or have any suggestions?

I also have Ubuntu 7.10 and same thing happens to me, I log in, as soon as textures around me start to download (about 10 seconds after log in), the viewer vanishes wthout trace.
I've sent a few crash reports and hopefully it will be fixed, as its only a test client, and this is one having a serious bug, lol.
Basically its completely unusable for me.

Its related to openGL. If you disable "atmospheric shaders" before you log in, 1.20 runs normally. If you leave it on, you crash after a while. Most of the time it happens while i turn around or cam around. So please lindens, whatever you changed with openGL from 1.19.1.4 to 1.20, take another look at it and make the 1.20 less crashhappy please.. :/

-Asriazh My experience contradicts this. What I have noticed is that crashes seem to occur only while flying. Rudy

I can't even get the application to start. I've deleted the ~/.secondlife directory, which didn't help. It either opens the window with a completely black screen, or comes up with the bottom buttons and top menu (the rest black) but is still completely unresponsive. It either drops to 0% CPU usage and hangs there, or stays around 90-100% CPU usage and stays there indefinitely, or starts at 90-100% CPU usage for a few seconds and then drops to 0% and hangs there. Sometimes it crashes, but most of the time it just hangs completely.

Ah. Hmm. It just came up. Maybe it's just taking a very, very, VERY long time to initialize now.
