Hi all ! Anyone knows what the status on native 64 bit support is, at this moment ? I see some posts from people running on 64 bit platforms but I suppose those are distros with 32 bit libs installed... I'm running Slackware64 13.0 without 32 bit libs installed and I hate to have to switch back to 32 bit because there's no 64 bit SL viewer.... Oh.. and.. yes.. I voted for https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-13793 already Kind regards, Lars Uram

Slackware64 doesn't seem to provide a 32bit compatibility layer (a.k.a. multilib) out of the box, but is "easily upgradable to multilib" (whatever "easy" means in this context. See http://alien.slackbook.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=slackware:multilib) If you feel adventurous but'd rather not mess around with your operating system, there's also the option to compile the Second Life viewer yourself to get a native 64bit binary. If you'd like to do that, http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/User:Michelle2_Zenovka/cmake might be the best point to start, but also look at http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Get_source_and_compile and the pages linked there. Finally there's the third party forks at https://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Alternate_viewers, some of which provide 64bit builds.
