Does anyone know of any way to link things when building? This is killing me! Can't ctrl+l, the option on the menu is greyed out, tho unlink works well enough. Is there some very obvious workaround I'm missing?

I've been able to link objects from the menu just fine... not sure why you can't. Maybe someone else has more insight, but I wanted to throw out a "it works for me".

That's actually really useful to know! Means I'm probably doing something wrong. I'm right clicking the various objects I want to link so they're all selected, then going up to the menu and trying to click link but it's greyed out. What process are you using to link objects?

Linking works for me, but several things will cause linking to fail.
Do you own all the objects you're linking? Are you currently set in 'edit linked parts'?
Those are the only two I can think of right now.

As a preventive measure, select "Select only my objects" in the Build menu.

You said right clicking?
You edit one of the objects, hold the shift key and left click on the rest.. then hit Ctrl-L to link them (or the menu option).
Only need to right click the first to start edit (or hit Ctrl 3 to open edit window, I hate right clicking..heh)

Yeah, the problem was me right clicking everything instead of just the first item. Thanks!
