I had to do a install of the Linux viewer on a new installation of Ubuntu 8.04. Since I don't care for the generic box icon of a desktop link, I went to the SL directory and looked for the thoughtfully provided SL icon that - I guess - *used* to be included with the Linux viewer.. Apparently LL in their infinite wisdom removed it, as it doesnt seem to be anywhere in the viewer directory or subs... Yes.. I *know* I can grab the icon from Windows and save it as a png for use on Linux, but I'm really close to being Windows-less on all of my systems, and don't have SL installed on the one Windows machine I'm still stuck with... What gives?? Tas

The icon path is:
<SL directory>/res-sdl/ll_icon.bmp

In the RC there's a bigger Icon in PNG format, ./secondlife_icon.png.

I found the ones "hidden" in the RC and current viewer and converted the RC one to a PNG and saved it for futher use in /usr/share/pixmaps.. BTW: Hi Osgeld! Long time no see!! Guess you don't come by the Shelter much anymore... Tas
