I havn't seen anything about this....

I've noticed that after I'm running the client for >4hrs that environment sounds start to skip, and parcel music outright stutters to the point I have to relaunch the client to correct...

CPU is AMD Duron 1800, not sure why that's not detected.

Other than the sound issue, this client is rock solid for me. No memory leaks that I've seen. Often run it along other resource hungry applications (Gimp/Evolution/MusicIP) without problem, tho this fact has kept me from coming forward with the report until now.

It has now become quite predictable and unrelated to anything else that might be going on.

I've seen turning off the hardware acceleration for sound in Windows can help with some issues like that, don't know if Linux does anything similar.

Ram usage?

I know this is late but I had my first problems recently when I switched to Firefox from Konqueror and it used more of my ram while I was using SL and caused me to crash or lockup after about an hour. Do you monitor your ram usage by any chance?
