I complained when:
  1. Employees at LL didn't understand the basics when it comes to diagnosing problems in sims, but were quick to blame things.
  2. Chat bubbles were added (self explanatory I think)
  3. I was burnt out, angry, and decided to read the tos. (that resulted in a big complaint)
  4. Script scheduler changed (things that relied on timing were/are pretty much useless)
  5. Flex prims were added (seemed like a cop-out feature because we have had trees for a long time)
  6. Linux alpha client didn't get anything new.
  7. Frame rates dropped with a new update
BUT what I didn't say:
  1. Thank you LL employees for at least trying instead of just totally ignoring people like you could have done.
  2. Thank you for the lighting improvements
  3. Thank you for balancing the sim load better.
  4. Thank you for actually making a Linux client
  5. Thank you for doing things that people voted for.
  6. Thank you for making the wasd keys work in the Linux client.
  7. Thank you for the times when there were frame rate improvements.
I know that you will keep fixing bugs and adding features (especially to the Linux client please :-) ).
So please don't get discouraged when you see mostly complaints, so far you are doing a good job. People will always find a way to complain about anything.

While I can agree with some of your points, it sounds a bit like (theoretical example):

'The income taxes are 60% (very high), but thank you for not making it 70%!'

Or a classical joke:
From: someone

Lenin is walking in the gardens of the Kreml, and he sees that Afonyka and Serjosa are playing with the ball over the fence. Once the ball flies over the fence, into the gardens... Lenin takes the ball and hides behind a bush. He sees that Afonyka climbs over the fence and starts searching for the ball. But Afonyka doesn't find it, so he starts crying in the gardens.
Lenin walks to the child:
- Why are you crying Afonyka -- asks Lenin, in his friendly, humanist style
- Because I can't find my ball! We can't play with Serjosa!
- Was this it? -- says Lenin, handing over the ball to the kid
- Yes, thank you -- says Afonyka, and runs away

Because Lenin was this good kind of guy.
He could've had the kid shot, if he wished to, after all.

I thank Linden Labs for making 'something' that kind of starts to be about usable in Linux.

I cannot thank them for producing a Linux binary that would make dual-booting on my machine a past. The Linux binary is just not up par yet with the Windows one. I wish it was.
