Hi. I have a problem.
When I run the linux app in Ubuntu 8.04 the screen flashes quickly (image-black-image-black).
Whats the problem?

It would also be helpful to know if you are running SL in fullscreen mode or in a window; if in a window, then what exactly do you mean by "the screen flashes"? Does the entire screen flash? Or just the viewer window?
Also, do you have "flash screen on alert" enabled anywhere in gnome or in Compiz? _____________________

The only times I've seen this, it's because 'desktop effects' are enabled, with an older (buggy?) compiz etc. Try disabling the desktop's 'desktop effects'.
