Unable to connect to Second Life

Hi there,
I managed to get the initial login window but somehow can't connect to the server.

This is what he log sais:

I also tried the new beta client, with the same effect.
I'm running a knoppix (debian testing/unstable) on a 1GHz AMD machine with an ATI radeon 9250.

Any ideas?

Could be iptables, not sure.

Looks like it is having to resend packets, either due to sever packet loss (probably not likely) or bad configuration (maybe firewall as stated above). If your behind a restrictive firewall (ie some schools and businesses) it may not allow certain outgoing ports.

Pity. So I'll have to try to pimp my box at home. No way to ask my boss to open the firewall for SL ;)

If you dont mind pretty bad lag you can run a proxy over ssh, it would be fine for logging in and checking stuff, its really easy to set up also, usually with little configuration.
