Okay... seriously. In light of today's events, you guys totally rock. Here's the situation as I see it. First, you release a Linux alpha for a commercial MMO game; to my knowledge, this is a first. Then, when updates happen, the Linux alpha is compatible within the day.

Given that this is *alpha* software, not even beta yet, I think everyone over at LL are absolutely amazing. You're treating your alpha testers with the consideration you give your normal, stable-client users, you're listening to our rants and complaints, and providing feedback on these very forums.

Despite the problems with the client, which is to be expected, this has been an unparalleled user experience for me. Never seen this kind of support for alpha software before.

Agreed!

I was upset that the Alpha for 1.8.4.7 was due in a WEEK, but it IS Alpha! So I was prepared to live with it...

And Here It Is!

A big Thank You to all involved!

:D

Absolutely right, Darkside. Well done * Linden. The Alpha isn't without its problems, but that's why it's alpha, we know the risks. Keep up the good work!
