Your problem sounds nearly identical to mine:

They open Opera on my box. O.o Why don't they open the built-in browser? I think that's a bug.

This should always (try to) do the 'right thing' from viewer 1.23RC2 onwards.

Thank you, Tofu; that is good news.

Any idea, though, why the launching of an external browser would work just fine in, say Ubuntu 8.10, then not work at all in Ubuntu 9.04? From what I can tell, the viewer is not even trying to access launch_url.sh, which works just fine when invoked externally. What processes, exactly, are involved in spawning an external browser window from the viewer?

I have worked out now, sorry I forgot to put in what I did.
when trying to start IDJC.
you get the pop up saying Jack wont start.

what I did was take $ jackd -d alsa -r 44100 -p 2048
and change it to $ jackd -d alsa -r 44100 -p 1024

I run this in the terminal while i use Idjc. it seems to work.
If i know where it needed to be changed so i wouldn't have to keep doing this each time I run it that would be Tops.
