Hello,

In the previous and current Linux builds (both stable and First Look), I can not run the game fullscreen in 1920x1200 resolution; the highest resolution it allows is 1920x1080. My native desktop resolution for the X server is 1920x1200, and it is exactly the aspect ratio that is supported by my LCD. It looks a little odd - things are morphed or something - in 1920x1080 mode, because it's designed for another aspect ratio. This is not an issue on Windows.

If I edit the config file manually and tell it 1920x1200, I get the option in-game for the single launch of the game after I edit the config. When I restart the game, it's back to 1080.

Any ideas? I'm using X.Org 7.1 RC2 on openSUSE 10.2 x86 RTM, using the precompiled First Look client and libs.

EDIT: Oh, and I'm running fglrx 8.33.6 (Jan 10th release) with an ATi Radeon X800GT 256MB. The monitor is a Dell 2405FPW. I looked at my modelines in my xorg.conf and every possible color depth appears to support 1920x1200... but this is a SaX2-generated config, I haven't really done any hacking on it. It seems to have auto-detected and plugged in my vertical and horizontal refresh values. You can find my full xorg.conf here.

Thanks,

Tiyuk

Not Exactly the Same Resolution, But

My LCD is a widescreen (1440x900). I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get it to display fullscreen without looking distorted.

I finally ran it windowed (at 800x600), and expanded the borders of the window to fit the screen. When I first tried it, I thought it would just give me a great big pixelated image, but it actually gives me roughly 1440x900.

Can't guarantee that it'll work that way for you, but it might be worth a try.
