trouble with gstreamer on Kubuntu 8.10

Hi,
I can't seem to get streaming video in SL to work. Using the latest client 1.21.6..99587 . I get this error when trying to see a video::
bus_callback:312: GST error: Failed to connect: Connection refused

I did the obvious ie. made sure it was enabled in my preferences and clicked play on the projector icon. I have loaded all gstreamer packages. Anyone able to help me with this.

Are you running 32-bit or 64-bit version of Kubuntu?

Streaming video does not work with 64-bit Linux installs.

No I'm using 32 bit not 64.
