Hi,

openSUSE 11.0 was released today. I'd love to hear about the experiences of Second Lifers who are installing this release.

It works, but I get no sound other than voice. I am working on why. Any clues or ideas would be appreciated. :-)

I haven't installed 11.0, yet. If I do, it will be the 64-bit version, so I should have mentioned that I'm particularly interested in any issues relevant to running in that environment.

All I know about audio probably won't be news to you, but on my openSUSE 10.3 installation I have the stuttering audio problem _unless_ I start "esd" first. I also haven't tried voice, yet, so I have no experience with that.

I'm running the 64-bit version. I probably should have made that clearer, but I thought putting it in my signature would be enough.

The only problem I'm having with it is no sound in sl other than voice. Everything else seems to work.

Sorry 'bout that. I hadn't enabled signature display, and I don't routinely view other's profiles.

I'm running Suse 11.0 64bit and it's running great. Had problems with KDE4 so I switched to 3.5.9 and it's fast and solid. SL runs good, not as fast as it does on Windows though.

Are you using voice? If so, are you able to get both regular sound and voice to work? I can only get one or the other, not both. Other than that, SL works very well.
(I'm running openSUSE 11.0 X64)
