How much do you pay for SL, monthly?

I'd like to see how much money you pay monthly for SL. This is the total amount, including premium and land tier fees. If you pay premium per year, just divide the yearly fee by 12, and add any land tier fees to it.

Please be honest if you 'vote'! Thanks!

This question is for Linux users only!... Well, okay, I did put in a 'I don't use Linux' option, so poll-maniacs can push the button, too :-)

Also: if you're currently using Windows SL, but you're willing/able to use the Linux version, when it'll be done, vote for the amount, please.

If it weren't for the ability to play SL on Linux, I wouldn't spend ANYTHING on SL, cos I'd only ever play at work maybe once a week.

I have an annual account and $75/mo tier but I don't pay for it exactly, Fate Gardens does. The inworld business has actually done well enough to pay me back the money I spent on SL the first year I played while learning about 3D graphics and such.

At this point, the whole experience amounts to a self-supporting hobby executed using the Linux client on Ubuntu, and the Windows client on XP & wine depending on where I am any given day. So how do you want me to vote?

*edit: voted 41-100, thanks for the reply

I'm on a free account for now, but I wouldn't even have that if it weren't for the linux client. I plan to go for a premium account once the client gets to a point somewhere past alpha.

Oh, sorry, maybe I wasn't totally clear... From the SL/Linden point of view, you fall under the 41-100 USD category.
They get that money from you, and you getting/earning that money you give Lindens from other players is another thing.

I'm not sure where this poll will lead yet :) and I can understand if some ppl. are deliberately on the 'free' account until they get a usable (release quality) binary for Linux, and don't want to pay for it until they have that.

I pay annually, and have land tier, both in Maryport, where I have a house plus the meeting place, and on a private island.

Occasionally I buy Linden, because I fancy something to much to save up for it ;)

Well, divide it by the number of months you've had it already, and then you can fit into that category (probably 1-10 USD then :-)

I'm still unsure how to interpret these number (hehe, statistics can prove anything with the right interpretation, I guess). The percentage of 'free account' ppl. is amazingly small, globally it's 90% or so, here it is only 50%. But that can be attributed to many causes, like that people don't come on SL too many from Linux, since the client sucks so much (as of yet, as long as it's alpha), that they rightly find it unusable, unenjoyable.

Another number could be the USD/month paid by Linux ppl -- well, this might not look as good, though... If I add it up, I get about 1000-1200 USD/months so far, from about 50 ppl. If we take the other thread about Linux distribution, with 200 ppl or so, I could guess Linux (or Linux capable) people on the forums bring in about 4-5000 USD per month to Lindens. And forums ppl. are not all there is in SL :-)

Which might look nice, but then you have the Linden estimated land income of about 200- 300 000 USD/month, so the money above is not that big a number compared to this. And of course, many Linux capable people already dual-boot Windows for games (SL).
