I know, I know.... not the most loved environment but hey! i'm stuck running Windows XP because of my job so..... VirtualPC seemed like a good choice to run Linux.....

If anyone is interested in my adventures in doing this, let me know.

So far I managed to run both Mandriva 10 and SUSE 10 on my VirtualPC (had to put SP1 on VirtualPC for it to load the ISO images properly)... at the office .... well i do need my Mandriva for an upgrade test on my Apache web servers. hee hee...

This week-end i'm installing at home, but just SUSE 10.... then wait for the new SL 1.9

BTW if anyone needs me to try another distro, let me know, i can load then easily enough on my home machine.

I don't think VirtualPC emulates the 3D card (OpenGL), so probably you won't have much luck with SL and Linux in the VirtualPC.

VMWare emulates 3d right now, experimentally. (Workstation 5). I haven't tried SL Linux under it yet...

I tried. It's dog slow, even with Google Earth. Go wine.
