The in-client bug reporter functionality, accessed from Help > Report Bug..., is now supported in the 1.9.0(1 Linux Alpha client. Please use this to report bugs in this and future builds by typing [LINUX ALPHA] into the "Summary" line of the bug report. This will allow us to more easily track reports of bugs with the alpha client. If you have posted a bug to this forum and *still encounter it in the latest version,* please use the Report Bug feature to report it. We will then be sure to get all issues mentioned here into our system so that the development team may fix them! Thanks again for your hard work and dedication to the cause!

This is great news! You will be swamped with "no audio" and "no hotkeys" reports now, however

It would be nice if the RT server's MySQL server had a publicly accessable interface (minus all the abuse reports).

From: Vinci Calamari Can we see the reported bugs? In a sticky at the top of the forum If your hoping to view bugs and their status etc (like a bugzilla) then no. It doesn't help us anyway. Either its broke (and we already know about it) or its fixed and in a new client (and we're jumping up and down shouting 'woooooo!').

This is going in the wroong direction. I am used to search a bugzilla and look if a bug is already reported. I did a lot bug reports for different Linuxes and applications - I think must be something like > 5000. And I know how many of them got resolved. It is just nonsense to let everybody report the same issue. For what? This will only result in millions of bug reports of "my sound ins not working". And all get a standard answer maybe automatically in the future "You are using an alpha client. Right now it does not support sound". Cool? Senseless! Vinci

From: Vinci Calamari I will not report bugs in a closed system......... Well why didn't you just say that, instead of asking a stupid question you already knew the answer to. but Nooooooo, Vinci has to have his little tantrum.

From: Darkside Eldrich Seriously, Vinci, are you RMS in disguise? I'm beginning to wonder. RMS practices what he preaches - wouldn't be caught dead running proprietary closed source software that makes use of DRM and close source patent infested graphics card drivers. Given the choice, he would opt to eat his own legs.
