Hey I'd like to be able to play SL at work but don't wanna install the software on my work pc. You guys know of or think there's a way to install this client on my Linux server that i have an play it remotely ?Would be kinda cool .

You can kind of do this BUT, its going to be painful. I have run it over a VNC session from my home PC to work. It depends on what you want to do and the nature of your home and work internet connections too.
Running it on a linux server may be difficult as you would need to fake the display and persuade it to all run through mesa (software openGL which is even slower). When running over VNC it is running off my 3D card at home, but the update rate to VNC is *pain* so i only do this for debugging when i know i can expect a crash without much interaction. For general interaction a text only client like SLeek or Metabolt is far less painful.
