Im experiencing a strange problem with sl since moving over to an amd64 pc. When i start sl, all is well for upto a couple of minutes (excellent framerates) then it starts slowing down to 2-3 fps for around 5 sec at at time. The interval seems to be around 30secs before it happens again. I have tried various distros and just about every version of sl and all show this same symptom. My video card is nvidia 8600GT with the latest drivers (have tried others).
If anyone has a clue as to what is wrong id be very grateful for your help as i am now at my wits end!
