I only use the linux client, so I don't know if these are 2L issues in general or specific to the linux client...

I am trying to clean up my inventory by dropping inventory items by boxing them up into other objects. For example I create a "box" object and drop a folder full of textures into it... Several issues irritate the heck out of me while doing this process ;)

1) I can't select a folder from my inventory list and drop it in the content tab of the object. Instead I have to open the inventory folder and select the items.

2) If I select all of them items in a folder with lots of items, say over 50, almost always I get the "in-world creation of object" failed error. The error message gives no indication of which object failed to copy!

3) As a result of 1 and 2 above, I have to select about 20 inventory items at a time to drop them into the inventory of the target object. A very tedious process.

4) It takes forever for the items to copy over to the new object, anywhere from 15 minutes to hours. I have no idea if this is a bandwidth related issue or what. I am on a cable internet connection that consistently gets around 115Kbs down, not sure about up. Most of the time I logout and come back later, then resume copying where I left off. If there is something I can tweak to make this better I would love to know about it ;)

5) As inventory items are copying to the target object, the new items might not show up in the contents of the target object for what seems like forever. If I logout and come back later, the contents tab of the object might show that a few more items have been copied into it's inventory, there is no indication items are still copying to it.

5) To copy a folder containing say 200 items, it ends up taking several hours because of all of these issues....

I am running ubuntu edgy on a 2.6.17.13 kernel. Due to the ancient video card I am running the legacy nvidia driver (nvidia-legacy-kernel-source 1.0.7184).
