What's the best alt viewer for running SL on a netbook w Ubuntu Hardy Heron that is the least graphics/RAM intensive?? Is this alt viewer just initiated from the command line? I can initiate and run the standard viewer for about half a minute, then it crashes the OS. I understand that netbooks are not designed for SL, but I'm lookind for a work-around. If I can't navigate, at least I could clean out my inventory while traveling

But there is the omv-viewer light client, which may be useful for what you need: http://www.byteme.org.uk/omvviewer-light.html
