I'm going to try to figure this out as well, though for me the issue is the clipboard not sound. I actually haven't run Wine before. What worries me a little is directory structure. Where is SL going to muck with my filesystem? I'm trying to muck my way through documentation now, but while there is a lot of information (http://www.winehq.com) I find none of the useful stuff is at the forefront.

Right. So now I have it installed, and after dumping a CRAPLOAD of stuff to the terminal ('INFO' messages 'WARNINGS', and 'fixme's), it tells me it cannot find DirectX 9 and asks if I want to continue. I click yes, and it seems to be using over 90% of my processor but never brings ANYTHING up on the screen. Yeah.
![]() EDIT: Ah good. It finally crashed. **sigh** |
