Ok, I am not new to SL, but I am new to Linux. I have installed Mandrake 10.0. When I try to run SL, I recieve the following error:
bin/do-not-directly-run-secondlife-bin: relocation error: /home/andrew/SecondLif e/app_settings/mozilla-runtime-linux-i686/libxul.so: undefined symbol: gdk_threa ds_lock
Any help would be greatly appreciated. As I said, I am new to Linux, so it might be an easy fix. Thank you for your time.

You might want to upgrade to a more recent version of your distro; I believe the gdk_threads_lock symbols came somewhere around gdk 2.3, and I think MDK 10.0 had 2.0 or so (but I could be wrong.) I have the SL Windlight client, and previous versions, running in Mandriva 2007.0 with all patches and the NVidia proprietary graphics driver. There's a bit of a memory leak in the client at the moment, but I suppose it is an alpha release...

Thanks. I will give that a try tonight. I had burned that disc awhile ago and didn't think to download the latest release.
