hi..
I can't get game to update...it told me there was a new version, for which I clicked on 'download', but immediately after having done so, it crashed.
I am using suse 10.0.

This is a bug, it is trying to download the Mac OS X update. Just click "continue" instead of trying to update.

More importantly, it's trying to use the MacOS download utility, which obviously doesn't exist on a Linux box.
Whenever the client crashes, check the log file. Unlike Windows and MacOS, logs in Linux are generally helpful. They'll often tell you exactly what went wrong and why.
