I suggest LL makes a 'Linux Options' pane in the preferences for this one, since it's not an easy one to fix, without siding with one of the two big Window Managers. -> 'Preffered browser', enter the name of your browser (default to `mozilla`, but allow us to set `konqueror`, etc.) Could include things like audio options, etc as well there (default mixer, etc.)

This is a great idea! I would even go one step further, and have an "SLlocal.rc" file, managed by a GUI or manually, so that things like browser and sound system, Environmet things, can be either left at default (SLlocal.rc empty) or overridden by the user (SLlocal.rc has content). This can be "sourced" by the "secondlfe" script, after the default values, and simply replace the value of some variables, which the client could use to determine things like that. An integrated GUI would be perfect, but I don't like to see a sepaerate "Linux Client Tree" starting, which is not functionally the same as the existing SL clients. Just my L$0.02 worth
