I've been squeezing my brain and collecting the drippings. The results can be found in my new blog. Watch your step. Slippery when wet. Bridge freezes before road. Your face may stick like that. Current Topics: - In the Beginning (Hi!)
- What’s in a Group? (Group Needs)
- Groups on the Brain (Metting Report)
- Voting, Trust, and Accountability… Oh My! (Trust)
- Anatomy of a Perm (Permissions)
- Monkey, Monkey, Monkey, GOOSE! (Roles)
- Stay Flat or Go Hier? (Interface Example)
- A Lot to Go On (SL Usage Example) *new*

I think the ideas in your blog are very well thought out. This is an eye-opener: From: someone Eventually, much to a number of people’s joy, Linden Lab does want to let us host our own grid servers. Everybody should get behind this.

New blog entry based on what I've gleaned from Linden comments at the discussion meetings, mixed with my own ideas.
EDIT: I'll keep the links all in the first post of this thread, for easy reference.

New entry: Monkey, Monkey, Monkey, GOOSE!(OR: How to Stand Out from a Barrel) This one is all about Roles. If you've been following the Linden discussion group logs, this is the word they have been using. I'm applying it to my ideas and this is the result. (Previous entry also talked about Roles, without explaining details.)

I've been busy today. Latest entry gives that example mock-up I mentioned before. If you'd like to get a taste of what the new group controls MIGHT be like, take a gander. Feedback always welcome! Every bit I've gotten has been helpfull! - Stay Flat or Go Hier? (Interface Example)

Today's new post (yeah, yesterday had THREE) is an attempt to put it all together and show an actual Second Life group formation using the system I've been working on. Of course, this is just one problem and one solution. If you have a group design that YOU wish SL could do, but currently can't, drop it on me and I might use it for my next example. I've found doing real-world walk-throughs is a great way to get a feel for the complexity of an interface. Feel free to challenge. - A Lot to Go On (SL Usage Example)
