Sadly, it was a yawn. Where are the zoning, assignable land and group abilities so desperately needed in SL?

Havoc update = more intelligent handling of collisions, bounding boxes, sphere trees for object locations and many more.
Havoc update = more intelligent sim resources to get even more work done
Havoc update = less lag, higher prim counts on vehicles
Sorry but that is just as important IF NOT MORE SO than some of the bug fixes.

I don't think any update of new abilities is more important than fixing something that is broken. I know it may not be as 'sexy' and fun to program but its what keeps people here and what avoids pissing those off who first come and think whats the big deal, and what a mess.
I have been alarmed by the amount of people I have seen departing SL recently that I have met, some have been here a year or more. They are burnt out on unfullfilled promises. More promises don't help much they just rub more salt in the wounds and further distrust and cynical thoughts.
Without credibility and predictability Second Life will perish.

Not when there are sims that make all prim structures phantom at random aftereach havoc update. Lets get bugs fixedbefore we worry about making more bugs, k?

Jonas.. i did say 'some' bugs. Namely i consider fixing the phantom issues to be one of those bugs that are a primary concern. Just not many others. Though my reasoning for fixing phantom is that phantom in itself is a requirement to be handled accurately in order to impliment collision occlusion effeciently. Made a post on that topic in feature suggestions.

well, not so quiet anymore :~
tho still not much on zoning/covenants/group empowerment
I'd certainly still like to see the ability to choose whether to exclude non-officers from sharing group dividends and liabilities, as one tiny small extension to how groups currently work. And the ability to belong to many more than 15 groups.
Zoning/covenants... well if someone can find a workable way of achieving these goals without constant Linden intervention, then that would be nice too I suppose.

From: Jonas Pierterson Havok update =new shiny new shiny = not needed bug fixes = needed I never implied as such. I said that Impending world doom meant that Havok would get updated (the "expect havok 3 days before the appocaplypse" running joke?).

How about a covenant to empower us, the user group before we zone out?
