I thought of a name, although Long....Dancin in the Streets Music Festival. Any ideas from anyone? Who they would like to hear? Dates? I was thinking September...End of Summer type thing. I will post this in the Forum for further comments OR...hey I dun mind IM's. I get them. Thanks in advance for your thoughts! ~Lisa~

Well you know me: as long as it's at a time I can make it GoSpeed Racer is an AWESOME DJ and a one woman party. Everybody will be dancing and smiling. Some bunnyhopping.

HAHA, I don't know why but HB won't post this. He suggested for a title, "Music in the City" Then he suggested a week long event with at least 1 performer each day or night depending on Time Zones. I really do want to make this possible for everyone in every timezone. So maybe a weekEND long event would be nicer...Say from a Thursday night to Sunday night. Maybe 2 performers Thursday and Friday and up to 4 on Saturday, then back to 2 on Sunday... Just throwin it out there

Some ideas... at last!
05-28-2009 00:36
Sorry LJ, my online time is a bit limited at the mo, but here I am at last My idea is taken from RL events such as this - A big headlining act or event on a weekend with a series of small events throughout the week before. The small events could range from small intimate acts in cafes, bookshops, galleries & the like through to street performances in key areas of the city. If acts can do more than one gig, they could capture more timezones - also, acts from different countries could cater for their their own timezones. The big act or events could be on a stage erected under the arch in Grignano. I think a series of 3 or 4 acts would be good - bands and DJs. What do ppl think? hba ****

Hey ya HB. No problem at all. Ya know that could work, I was thinking of using Sals Arch for most of them and had hoped I could arrainge the biggest day at the HUB maybe have the Bridge be the stage. But your idea HB is kinda cool. One of us would like to host their music hour? That would be neat. The scheduling is going to be tricky for sure. But so is the advertising. Will need lots of ideas to spread the word.

Here is a tentative shcedule that we can work on. Labor Day weekend starting Thursday Sept 3rd to Sunday the 7th or due to possible many vacas that weekend using the next weekend Sept 10 thru 13.
Times can be filled in as we get a better idea of the collective time zones. Any thoughts?
