We've no charter yet - but we are open to all and aim to help retore NA to its former glory, preserve its history and help shape its future.

NAPS Plaques
02-27-2009 15:59
One idea we have been throwing around in the NAPS group is that of having plaques for buildings and areas of interest - in addition to just marking these areas out, they could be clicked to give a simple notecard with some further information.

Would the residents of the fair city be willing to nail a plaque up on their land or building? Let us know...

I'll Take 3!
02-27-2009 16:11
My builds are not historic by any means. But the Help center will be. Collie Lindman made that for me and I think he is a GREAT builder. I hope it will be historic one day. Of course the Civic Center or Marcos's Scraper may not be able to be topped.

3 Plaques here please!

....and I'm not just copying what Lisa said. :P
This is a nice idea, HBA and I'd like to put one up at each of my Sistiana locations. Thanks, ~Moss.

NAPS Plaques Are Ready!
02-28-2009 14:26
Enjah has been working like of of Santa's slaves and finished the NAPS building plaques (http://www.flickr.com/photos/headburroantfarm/3317492100/). They are 1 prim and, of course, free and they come with a notecard giving script so all you have to do is drop a notecard in with a little background about you, your building and your memories of Nova Albion and then people can click it to learn more about the wonderful city as they walk around it :)

For more details, join the Nova Albion Preservation Society group in-world!

Problems with maps
03-02-2009 09:02
I have been having problems trying to use the Map API to get an image of Nova Albion.

Miramare is http://map.secondlife.com/map-1-995-1002-objects.jpg
Grignano is http://map.secondlife.com/map-1-995-1001-objects.jpg
Barcola is http://map.secondlife.com/map-1-994-1002-objects.jpg
Sistiana is http://map.secondlife.com/map-1-994-1001-objects.jpg

In theory, Nova Albion should be:
http://map.secondlife.com/map-2-994-1001-objects.jpg

But it does not work. I've tried many combinations, but none yield the four Nova Albion sims together.

Ref:
http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Webmap_API#Accessing_map_images_directly

Does anyone know the correct URL for Nova Albion?

Moreover, I can't I find any reference table for the coordinates of SL sims. I got the above by trial and error based on the example for Ahern. In theory, there should be a grid system somewhere such that whatever sim you are in, you can read its SL coordinates (in the Region/Estate window, for example). Does anyone know where the coordinates for SL sims are published?

PS. I am a normal human being and not a computer geek, so anything related to scripting is hieroglyphics to me. Answers in English only, please :)

I am going around this weekend to all the builds here that have been here since NA was first found by Magellan. Some are newer than others like mine. What would consitute a Historic build here in NA, or SL for that matter. How long? Is there a time span that LL has directed?
