Announcement: New Second Life Buddhist Travel Catalog!
I've decided to put together an in-world color catalog of all the Buddhist builds and locations in Second Life. If you have such a build and would like it included in the catalog, please send me the following info:
What is it? (A stupa, monastery, meditation center, shop, classroom, etc.) -- include a snapshot! Who owns/built it? Where is it? (Sim location and coordinates) Why did you build it?
Of course, any other pertinent information is welcome, as well as full-length articles about your project or build.
I am also willing to come out to your build and take photographs and information, so please IM me.
Once complete, the catalog will be free to all Buddhists of SL, and perhaps sold to others for a small fee.
Let me know what you think about this idea!

very cool idea. I have ThinkBook press, which can render prim books with textures as pages, pics or text work was long as you can upload them. In case you wanted to do something visual...

Well my house in Tamsi is not exactly a buddhist build per se. Yet it is a place buitl with the priciples of Serenity and quiet meditation in mind. I do invite the entire SL buddhist community to come to Tamsi (my house is on my picks in my inpworld profile). It is not as wonderful a build as the buddhist center, but I have bothe a tea-room on the ground and a meditation room on the top floor for people to avail themselves of.
If anyone is interested in a tour, or wants to come by, you are all welcome to IM me in world, or just stop by.

Come to the Crazy Wisdom site
06-03-2006 17:10
Go to Bonga 102, 203, 106 - Everything between the road and the water is Crazy Wisdom. Come on in and wander around. The site includes a two-level meditation hall, a ceremonial house dedicated to tea and discussion (though it is not a canonical teahouse), several contemplative ponds and sand gardens, a dojo, a small traditional Japanese village, with the local daimyo's hose also open for meditation, a hidden-away Shinto shrine, and a little fishing village down on the water.
As you move through the site, it talks to you, offering up thoughts from a variety of wise spiritual thinkers and poets.
It is not limited to Buddhism, though we are giving away copies of DT Suzuki's writings on Zen, and I hope to find a way to put some of Pema Chodron's teachings in the meditation hall as well.
The site has numerous meditation spots, all with beautiful views. I built the area as an expressio of my own spiritual development. Please come and let me knopw what you think.
