In the interest of fairness, I'd like everyone's input on what title you'd like in front of your name when you have this group is active in SL. The three most popular will be voted on with a poll, so please try to think of a few ideas.

Some may think that the group title isn't all that important, but remember that we represent entire population of Buddhists in SL right now. Because of that, our title should reflect accurately who we are while perhaps being able to spark some interest in others. This way, it can be a nice little tool to spread the Dharma. ;)

Some ideas are Buddist, Practitioner, Grasshopper (yes, I'm being silly, but maybe for April 1st?), Sangha, Meditator, The Compassionate, The Humble, etc. Of course, we can also leave it as it is, which is currently "Sangha Member."

Let's hear some ideas!

If the purpose is to give people an immediate indication of what we are about, then I propose "Buddhist Sangha member". Most people I know would not know what "Sangha" means, but most everyone on this planet have heard of buddhism. This way, the people will know you are involved with buddhism, and may be curious enough to ask you what sangha means...

Pratyeka -- I sent an IM to Sophia, but I also wanted to voice my support for your idea. I don't know if the entire three-word title will fit, but it's a good idea. --Nate

Now, I have a hard time trying to find... time... to join you all, but I like the simple "Buddhist" title.

I'm leaning towards "Seeker" -- it's vague, but simple. It invites questions, though I guess we would always need to be prepared to answer them.
