Dear Francis,
I've not met you yet. Well, my future counterpart (which is also me) has. I'm told you're a great inventor. I'm not even playing Second Life... that will happen in two days, and I've been reading up on what to expect. I find it hard to take any of this seriously after what happened to me in months previous. But from the care packages I've been receiving, one of which includes a pointer to a story about you in an online newspaper called New World Notes, Second Life sounds like it will be a fun way to pass my time while looking for a job. The only thing that puzzles me about this info is I'm referred to as "she".
I've been told to write you and thank you graciously. What for? In quick time, I'm supposed to enter your skybox for the first time, and you'll welcome me hospitably. You'll show me great things and we will become good friends. We'll laugh as a lot of obvious things go missed, and then cry about them. But that's okay, because you'll invent new creations to fill the voids, and we'll roam around.
One piece of information I'm curious about is that you like the show Futurama. I do too, and I'm sad it met an untimely demise. A couple things, the first of which makes no sense to me right now and the second that sort of does: 1) look up Toxius Stephanopolis's profile on December 5, 2005; 2) something which we're going to be talking about, thematically...

I also received a slip saying "Tell Fran these suggestions" with a dated list of what goes when, with a whole list of funny names. I don't even know what those are, nor quite what a notecard is, but I'll throw it away. Seems too preplanned. I've got to take a risk. I've not thought of myself as an intuitive person historically, but I have a good feeling about this. And I look forward to sharing with you as the corresponding chronological events do occur.

Torley - By far my fav "traveling-back-in-time to inform oneself of future circumstances" post ever. Unless of course tomorrow you go back to yesterday and post/have posted a better one. Oh god I'm confused already (starts diagramming the situation on paper)...

You know, I had to read your posting 5 times to try and get it  *smiles at tortor* You know, my memory of us meeting is kinda fuzzy. The way I remembered it, you dropped in on me while I was in my skybox, and I was somewhat rude! (I tend to be a little grouchy/antisocial when I've got my nose buried in script - "Who is this person who has intruding on me!" Whatever really did happen, I'm glad you remember it the way you did and not the way I did, and gave me a second chance  <3 PS. For some reason your logo signature reminds me of strongbad. Strooooonnngggggbaaaaaadd! RAWR!
